The following is an interview conducted by Marlise, a student from Mr. Corley's Canadian History class in March, 2008. Marlise's grandfather is Richard John Cornish Toone. Mr. Toone was born on April 13, 1915 in the small town of Maryfield, Saskatchewan. He is the third child of Emma Acock and John Reginald Toone. Richard, more commonly known as Jack had one sister by the name of Mabel that died at three months old. Jack’s other sister; Olive was three years older than Jack and was born in 1912. Olive died on December 16, 1995. Jack currently resides in Winnipeg with his wife Alice Toone and enjoys spending time with his children, grand-children and great-grand-children.
